Happy happy Monday everyone!! It's a wee bit wet and kind of dreary over here in my neck of the woods, but I really can't complain cause I actually don't mind the rain - it just means that I can wear my comfiest knits and my thickest hand knit socks with my rain boots! Seriously, who can complain when you're swathed in hand knits? Ok, maybe the power outages that some are experiencing aren't so great but there's something to be said about knitting by candlelight. Or, if you're like me, by head lamp.
The weekend was a pretty relaxing one and full of knitting, as the weekends should be. The Mister had a last minute change to his work schedule that entailed him having to go out of town and so it was just me and the Munchkin for most of the time. So my weekend was spent chauffeuring the kiddo around to his weekend engagements (which usually means I'm waiting around and knitting), and then resting at home playing Legos (we assembled a Mandalorian Speeder!) and having a mini Star Wars movie marathon (which involves a lot of knitting). Unfortunately due to the changes I had to miss a few important events. Totally sad faced about that, but what can you do? That's life.
Anyhoo, I should announce the winner of the Valentine's Day giveaway! Normally I use Rafflecopter for my giveaways to help me keep track of all the entries and to randomly pick the winner for me, but for some reason the page just wouldn't load for me while I was setting up the giveaway. So I had to go old school and do it all manually (first world problems, I know). But don't worry, I checked, double checked, and even triple checked to make sure all qualified entries were added and in the right order, and that everything was numbered properly. So without further ado, I give you the winner:
YAY Hannah!! I'll be contacting you shortly, so please check your Ravelry messages! A massive thank you to all who entered the giveaway. I had fun reading everyone's responses!! I too like reading craft and knit blogs for inspiration, ideas, info on new patterns and yarns, and yeah, if it's a knitting blog I thoroughly enjoy the eye candy of all the knitty and yarn-y goodness that usually accompanies these posts. I'm also glad to hear that you all don't mind the constant yarn photos that I post and can't seem to stop taking pictures of. Yarn fumes do that to me, they make me spend hours photographing pretty yarns and there's nothing I can do about it other than to obey.
Speaking of yarn, I promised myself that if I finished sewing the 2 project bags that have been sitting by my sewing machine all weekend then I can take 10 minutes out of my work schedule to continue to bind off my Follow Your Arrow shawl. I'm so excited that I'm thisclose to finishing that bad boy! So, with that said, I better get cracking and finish those bags!!
♥ Enjoy the week my Friends! ♥
