Always fresh...taking shelter in the truck until the rain dies down a little

This week was a little better.  I'm still sick and hacking up something fierce, but I'm better enough to take better photos (please let's not talk about last week's Sunday photo...I still shudder at the thought that photo and the fact that I even shared it with you all!).  Even more surprising is the fact that I didn't use a single iPhone-taken photo for this week!  Since the weather has been your typical West Coast fall and been producing less than stellar lighting conditions, I got to chance to practice my photography skills using a make-shift lighting tent with various lamps, and even the opportunity to play around with the camera in a fluorescent lit room.  Fun times.

My limited photography skills will definitely be put to test in the following months as the days get darker and good natural lighting becomes more scarce.  It's going to get interesting.

  2. Love the pops of color (I'm seeing this all over blogland this morning) especially with it being so dark and drippy outside today! Glad to hear you're feeling better :)
