Truckin'

B&W Knitting
As I mentioned in this post September has been/is a very busy month, and it's just going to get even busier now that the ball is (finally) rolling with the Munchkin and his development assessments.  I've also been knitting like a madwoman and it has paid off.  I've finished the test knit I've been working on since the beginning of the month and am making great progress on my Knit City cardigan.  But like I've also mentioned before, these projects make for very poor blogging fodder.  Hence the lack of posts lately.  Well, that and the fact that I've had a few house guests this past week and a bit and I didn't want to be rude by spending visiting time on the computer blogging.

I did have a list of a few post ideas I wanted to write up in the meantime but I've been either too busy knitting, making sad attempts at sewing (more on that later), trying to get the Munchkin outside as much as possible (hey, we've gotta take advantage of this gorgeous summer-like weather that we've been having...in September!!), or I've been just downright too lazy.  But mainly it's been all about the Munchkin and knitting.

Do know that I've been thinking about the blog a lot, usually daily, even if I haven't been making that many posts lately.  Sometimes I'll do or see something and wonder if I should blog about it.  Then I stop and ask myself "does anyone even care what I have in my knitting bag?" and find myself wondering "do people even want to read what one knitter uses to keep track of their knitting?".  Cause I'm the type of person that does like to read about that kind of stuff.  Anyhoo, my point is that I do think about the blog all the time and of the people that read it.  I'm hoping to make a major push on my cardigan this weekend in hopes of getting back to a regular blogging schedule...and so that I can stop being so...monogamous!

In the meantime I hope all you lovely readers are still kicking around and are doing well.  I promise that once I get a good chunk of this cardigan knitted up I'll be back blogging up a storm!  Until then...

♥ Happy Knitting!! ♥

  1. I love reading what you're up knitting-wise. I love checking out your pics and the "yarn porn." Your spunky personality really comes through your writing here. Love it and keep up the good work!

    1. Thank you so much Kelly! ♥ I'll admit that I haven't been photographing much yarn porn lately, but I think that needs to change! With fall here, the yarn is just rolling in... ;)

  2. I think it's important to remember that your blog is ... well, your blog ... and your readers are interested in what you're thinking about. So, I say blog about whatever you feel like ... and as often as you want. I love reading everyone's different perspectives or WIPs or FOs or organization tips. That's what makes the blogging world so much fun!

    1. Thanks so much for your words of encouragement Evelyn! ♥ Sometimes I wonder if I'm just rambling incoherently and leave people thinking I've sniffed too much glue or something! I too love reading other people's perspectives on WIPs and future projects, and other knitterly stuff, but wonder if I'm being repetitive? So thanks for your vote of confidence! :)

  3. I totally care about your knitting bag. It's fascinating to find out what other people do to organize themselves and this all-consuming hobby, and it normalizes my own experience. That said, it's important to prioritize face-to-face interactions in this digital age, and as a fellow PNWer, I say get out while the sun is still shining (which it's not today down here, but I hope it is up there!)

    1. Thanks Megan, for the kind words and your understanding! :) I totally think me blogging about my "interesting" knitterly ways helps me to feel somewhat "normal" (whatever normal is, really) especially when others can relate!
