One Last Adventure

Of the summer, that is.  The little family and I have packed up the camping gear once again and heading up island for one last summer adventure.  I'll admit that I'm a little nervous about this trip because just last week a child was attacked by a cougar about 60km from where we'll be camping.  I know that cougar attacks are rare but it's kind of hard to not get paranoid about cougars when we'll be in cougar country!

I don't know what makes me think I'll have more knitting time while out camping or why I would all of sudden be a faster knitter and will whip up projects in an instant, but I brought along quite a few knitting projects.  About a month's worth of knitting to be exact!  I'm not really aiming to finish anything, more like catch up on what I didn't do last week.  I was completely and totally preoccupied with making jam that I had barely knit a stitch all week!!  Crazy, I know.  I like it to blame it on the heat and sweaty palms.  Not that canning is any better in the heat generating department!

Anyhoo, there will be little to no 3G internet service on our camping ground so I really won't be able to answer any emails or check social networks until I get back.  I won't even be able to post any photos on Instagram while I'm away!!  The horror!  I'll be back Thursday and will hopefully be able to post again on Friday!  Yay for camping fun!!

Until then, enjoy the rest of the summer days Crafty Friends!  ♥

  2. Have fun! I miss camping - it's too hot/humid/mosquito-infested to do it here.

    1. Thanks Kate! :)

One good thing about living on the island, there's always a nice cold breeze to take the edge off the hot! ;)
