Guess what? I'm officially done knitting the body of Nuvem! Man, oh man, does it ever feel good to be so close to the finishing line!! I thought this day would never come. But here I am, ready to start the ruffle edging. I'm seven rows away from finishing this bad boy of a shawl.
Seems easy peasy enough, right? That's what I thought...until I remembered that I now need to increase a stitches like there's no tomorrow. I know that I have well over a thousand stitches (I stopped counting after nine hundred and saw that I still had about three quarters of a needle's worth of stitches to go), meaning that I have to increase at least a thousand stitches too.
I have a feeling these last seven rows are going to take me all weekend to knit up. I don't even want to think about how long the bind off will take. Tonight I'll definitely be hunkering down with Nuvem.
And maybe a bottle of beer.
Or two.
Ha ha good luck! I hate getting so close to the end then realising this is going to be the most time consuming part. Your a super fast knitter though so no doubt it is all finished now.
ReplyDeleteHahaha...thanks Kat! :) Why do designers always make the most time consuming part be at the very end?
