Freakin' Finish It February

WIPs
That's right. You read the title of this post correctly. Except the original name had a different word in place of "freakin", but since my mom sometimes reads this blog (Hi Mum!), I decided to cut out the expletive and use a more "family friendly" word. Anyways, I decided at the beginning of the year that I was going to dedicate a month to doing nothing but finishing up those long forgotten projects. Cause really, not only do I need to just bite the bullet and get them done, but I really do need to re-claim those cables and needles. Oh yeah, and the millions of stitch markers. That way I can kinda have a new start with knitting.  Like starting fresh with an empty knitting basket (although, will it ever be truly empty?).  I think a lot of this idea comes from my ongoing purging process. I really do think all the unfinished projects that I have stashed around the house in inconspicuous tote bags, project bags, and baskets are causing me some sort of stress. And do I really need that stress? Oh heck no!

I was hoping to do this last month but my Starteritis was just way too strong. So February it'll be and thus has been renamed Freakin' Finish It February.  My goal is to finish at least seven of the projects that have been sitting in hibernation for the past two years. I might be crazy by doing this but what's even crazier is that some of these projects are SO close to being done that it's such a shame that they're just sitting there hidden in bags rather being used and enjoyed.  I know there's a few projects in there that need that deciding factor as to whether or not they should just be frogged.  All in all expect to see more FOs this month than normal...or a lot of photos of massive piles of crimped up yarn.  Either way, those WIPs will have been dealt with.  Right?

So who wants to join me in turning our long forgotten WIPs into FOs?  Oh yeah, bring it on baby!

  1. Good for you! I must confess that since I'm super anal, I don't suffer from Starteritis, which means that I don't have many UFOs - usually just one sewing and one kntting project on the go. I will be cheering you on from the sidelines!

    1. The hazards of being a craft blogger and reading other crafty blogs...you just have to make everything all at once!!

Be careful with those mini skeins...they are totally addictive to make! :)
